Episode 3: Children of Virtue and Vengeance

Episode 3 is now live on Anchor, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else podcasts are usually found! This time it's a discussion about Children of Virtue and Vengeance, the second book in the Legacy of Orïsha series, by Tomi Adeyemi. We talk about our expectations for the sequel, (and how it let us down), the characters and their choices, and how we wished the book had gone. Fair warning - it's quite ranty. If you didn't listen to our episode about Children of Blood and Bone, the first book in the series, we'd recommend that you do so before listening to this one!

Next time we will be discussing The Nowhere Girls, by Amy Reed. Look for that episode coming in 3 weeks!

Please remember to Vote! With everything happening right now, between fights for civil rights, climate change, COVID-19, etc., voting is so important (as it always is!) so we can have competent leaders in our country and people in office working to make real and good change. Check online or in person for your state's policies on registering, voting deadlines, and where to take your ballot.

Lastly, if you happen to listen past the ending music, you'll hear our discussion about Inan, Ojore, and Sailor Moon that was a little too off topic to keep in the regular episode. 😉 The Youtube video we mention is this one, and I mistakenly said it was about Sailor Mercury and Sailor Uranus, when it is in fact Uranus and Neptune. Happy listening!
